Callida Technologies

Technology solutions,
built by people who
do the work.

We partner with companies to design, build, and maintain the software and infrastructure their business actually runs on. No hand-waving, no handoff to a junior team — just engineers who have shipped this before.

What we do

Built for the problems that don't fit off the shelf

Most teams don't need more tools. They need the right thing built, integrated, and kept running. That's the work we take on.

  • Custom software development

Web applications, internal tools, APIs, and automation built around how your business actually operates — not how a vendor assumed it does.

  • Cloud & infrastructure

Architecture, migration, and deployment pipelines that stay boring on purpose. Reliable, observable, and cheap to operate at your scale.

  • Data & integration

Getting systems to talk to each other, and turning what they produce into something a person can make a decision with.

  • Technical strategy

Reviews, roadmaps, and second opinions. Sometimes the most valuable thing we deliver is telling you what not to build.

How we work

Competence you can watch happen

Small team, direct access, short feedback loops. You talk to the people writing the code, and you see progress in working software rather than status decks.

Tell us what you're working on
  1. 1

    Understand first

We start by learning the constraints — technical, operational, and budgetary — before proposing anything. Scoping is free.

  2. 2

    Build in the open

Short iterations with something running at the end of each one. You review real software, not screenshots of a plan.

  3. 3

    Hand over cleanly

Documented, tested, and yours. We'll stay on to support it — but you should never be trapped with us to keep it running.

Our name

Why Callida?

Callida comes from Latin. It's the feminine form of callidus, meaning skilled, clever, and expert through experience. The Romans used it for the kind of competence you earn by doing the work, not the kind you claim.

The name is also built from two dogs. Callie gives it the first two syllables. Daisy gives it the last. And by a coincidence we didn't plan, Potentilla callida is a real wildflower — rare, and native to the mountains of Southern California.

Skill, a flower, and two good dogs. That's the whole story.

Let's talk about what you're building

Tell us the problem in a paragraph or two. We'll tell you honestly whether we're the right people for it, and what we'd do first.
